Hi guys. I have just started my first custom build of an rc car. The vehicle i am going to build is something i have been wanting to build for years. As a plastic model/diorama enthusiast i just had to do something in rc. So the Russian maz 537 is perfect. Or at least i will try to build one hehe. I got my self really cheap two hpi crawler king bolted together as an 8x8 and thought this to be my base for the project. Found out pretty fast that the plastic tube frame was WAY to flexy for the weight this thing is going to be. And also not so good looking either. So i got some 2mm amuminium sheets and cut out two frames as pictured below. Have dismantled and built this thing prob 5 times now to test and adjust positions for the linkages, dampers and driveshafts. Need to build another servo mount for the nr2 front wheels. And when all of that is done ill cut and grind tha plates to look better. And then start with styrene. Need the base ready before i start with the bodywork. Sucks to do things over if things dont fit. The scale is 1/10.5 ish. Its the closest i got due to the axle sizes etc. For it to be close to the real thing. Going to use two engines to make it easier for it to move around. Prob going to weigh some when done. Gmade shocks are mounted. 2.2" rc4wd mt baja radial tires.
